2012

LENA, the Low-Energy and Noise-Absorbing Spindle is launched. It is the first spindle in the market with 17.5 mm wharve diameter.

 

2011

Launch of CROCOdoff clamping crown, the first universal underwinding-free crown bringing automation in doffing operation to the next level.

2001

Acquisition by Rieter Group, the world’s leading supplier of systems for short-staple fiber spinning. Based in Winterthur (Switzerland), Rieter develops and manufactures machinery, systems and components. Novibra becomes part of the Business Group Components.

1993

Relocation to the Czech Republic: Novibra Boskovice s.r.o. was founded on January 13th 1993. Over the next three decades, its production site triples and Novibra becomes the world´s leading supplier of high-speed spindles.

1989

Pushing innovation further, Novibra introduces the NASA HPS 68 spindle allowing speeds up to 30 000 rpm. It is the spindle with the longest lifetime on the market.  

1988

The HPS spindle design with a unique hydrodynamic two-level bearing system is released. A revolution which forever changes classical ring spinning and opens the door for spinning at speeds of up to 25 000 rpm.

1980

The company becomes a subsidiary of Suessen (Germany) who takes over its textile business. 

1933

Novibra applied for its firts spindle patent in 1933, the patent was issued on April 16, 1935. This marks the starting point to position Novibra as a spindle technology leader. 

1920

Novibra GmbH in Stuttgart (Germany) is founded by Carl Staufert. The company manufactures spindles for textile machinery and electronic measuring devices.
